Çanakkale Martyrs' Remembrance Week

Marking the Çanakkale Martyrs' Remembrance Week.

"Heroes who shed your blood on the soil of this country! Here you lie in the soil of a friendly nation. Sleep in peace and quiet. You lie side by side, in each other's arms, with our Mehmetçiks. Mothers who sent your sons to war from faraway lands! Dry your tears. Your sons are now in our bosom. They are at peace and will sleep peacefully. Having given their lives on this land, they have become our sons as well."

Mustafa Kemal Atatürk
