As July, observed in the Rotary calendar as Maternal and Child Health Month, comes to an end, we once again reflect on how important it is that mothers and children can lead healthy lives.

Access to reliable information and quality healthcare from pregnancy through childbirth and the postpartum period, together with proper care, nutrition, vaccination and preventive health services in the early years of childhood, forms the foundation of healthy communities.

Through awareness initiatives and service projects in maternal and child health, Rotary and Rotaract continue working toward a safer, healthier and more hopeful future.

As we leave July behind, we know that every step taken in this area strengthens not only the present but also future generations.
