10 November — Remembering Atatürk with Respect, Gratitude and Longing

As the Rotaract Club of Mersin, we commemorate the founder of our Republic, the Great Leader Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, with respect, gratitude and longing on the 87th anniversary of his passing.

10 November is not a day of mourning; it is a day to realize anew the greatness of the legacy he left us and the timeless power of his ideas. Keeping alive the Republic, which Atatürk called his "greatest work", guided by reason and science, is not a responsibility for us but an honor.

Following in the footsteps of Atatürk, who said, "To see me does not necessarily mean to see my face; if you understand my ideas and my feelings, that is enough," we will continue to think with his ideas, create with his principles, and live by his values.

May his soul rest in peace. We bow before his cherished memory with respect, gratitude and longing.
